Some things are different in the photos (11/2021), for example an extra zipper/pocket has been added on the back opening into a laptop compartment and an iPad compartment (1 .photo) . We swapped out the main compartment and removed the laptop compartment from there (2nd photo). The charger is now flat instead of being removed from the backpack (Photo 3). And the straps don't come loose. All things they changed were for the better (except the shoulder straps but I didn't really care) and I wouldn't change anything about the bag except for the water bottle holder - it's very nice when stowed but it is too small for a large water bottle. Suitable for plastic but not big ones, that's why they tilt. Another potential issue is that it's not that big in terms of height, it's relatively small and can be a problem for storing a lot of travel essentials. Currently I can hold a 16 inch MacBook, calculator, some cables, sunglasses, keys, large notepad, 2 small notepads, battery, pens, pencils and markers. I could probably keep a few more notebooks, but no more. I don't put anything in the front side pocket, so you could probably put some more stuff in there.
