WARNING. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER! It is well documented on the web that HP intentionally changes the firmware and/or sends an automatic update to your printer that will prompt you with "DAMAGED INK CARTRIDGES, REPLACE WITH A NEW CARTRIDGE". It happens okay. one year after using 3rd party cartridges/customer service. Cheaper cartridges work well for a short time and then BOOM, your printer won't print. From what I've read there are many 8610 owners who have tried to buy/install original HP cartridges at ridiculous prices but it DOESN'T WORK! "INK CARTRIDGES DAMAGED" again. I haven't had any problems with this printer until a year later and HP is offering it to customers. Read. class action lawsuits etc etc. This whole saga amazes me because there are thousands upon thousands of people who will now never buy an HP printer as long as they live. Just Google 8610 problems and you will see!
