It was just my second time riding with this inflator and a 16OZ cartridge from REi. My buddy ran over a nail and deflated his 33cm tires pretty much instantly, about 20mi from home. Inflating that with a pump would have been hell.Luckily I was carrying this inflator and couldn't wait to give it a shot. It worked like a charm. This thing comes with two important features. First you can shut the inflator so that when you screw your cartridge in, the air doesn't come out (less waste). Second you can screw the inflator onto the valve and test the fit by opening the inflator just a tad. Once that's that's all set you open the inflator and let er rip! Saved a bunch of time, effort, and possible waste of cartridges.I only carry one cartridge ever and flats are not super common so when I do get one, that one cartridge has to work. I also like that this comes with extra seals.
