I have used this 2K monitor for work more than gaming, installation is easy, one cable for the display and the other for power. You might be working on this monitor instead of your laptop display. As far as gaming goes, the display handles movement smoothly even at 60Hz, so if you plan on using it for racing games, it's perfect for mobile gaming, whether it's a Laptop or game console.
