Has a metal thread in the handle and metal adapter. I've read of issues with others claiming the threads didn't match or the metal was coming out of the handle. Since the high-end pen is over $50 and this one was under $20, I figured I'd just use some light threadlocker (blue). I used both the thread on the handle and the adapter on the switch. I turned the knob on the switch with force. It might have worked fine without screw lock, but why not, right? All in all it looks great and seems to work as advertised. I would buy again.
