Review on BASENOR Sunshade Skylight Reflective Upgarde by William Stevenson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Nice front curtain but rear curtain needs work

This product reduces the cabin temperature when a reflective liner is used but rear curtain sag and other issues prevent me from salvaging the product. Just do not check with a grid. Due to the Southern California summer heat, my goal was to only use this with reflective inserts to keep the temperature down while parking and reduce battery drain to keep the car cool. There was no manual, no sheet of paper, no QR code. , link, etc. to explain how to install the product or how to contact the company if you encounter problems. It was easy to find an installation video on YouTube, but the seller's poor manners provided no documentation. How much is it to attach half a sheet of paper with a link? Installation was fairly easy with the included plastic clips that attach to the lampshade and slide under the headliner. The front cover fits well. It occupies about 3/4 inch of headroom, which shouldn't be an issue for almost any driver or passenger considering the Model 3 has plenty of headroom up front. The front visor would be fine for me except for a few gray spots on the mesh that don't wipe off. The rear visor is too long and looks ugly from the outside when using the included reflective tape because the visor extends beyond the factory one Glass Tint Line Another problem with a rear curtain is that the fabric sags over the rear passenger's head. Due to limited rear headroom, the shade is likely to rub against the adult rear passengers' heads. I'm 5ft 10 and my head was rubbing. The reading curtain reduces headroom by 1 to 2 inches. The rear of the sunshade frame does not touch the contour of the window, resulting in restricted visibility through the rear window. The shades look saggy in the car. So if rear clearance isn't an issue, then everything seems fine in the car. 127F to 112F while outside it was 82F. This will vary for you depending on the direction of the sun hitting your car, whether your car has tinted windows, etc. My car only has a medium ceramic tint on the side windows. I will look for another lampshade with a more elaborate rear lampshade. I downgraded the rating by 1 star due to missing a manual or paper so I can contact the manufacturer or find a manual online and stains on the fabric. Deducting 2 stars for the back cover is too long and has some sag. If it hadn't taken too long and the fabric wasn't ruined I would consider keeping this kit as the price is reasonable and the quality seems good.
