This scarf is pretty and I was looking forward to wearing it; however, it is NOT a cotton/linen blend! It appears to be 100% polyester so it's unusable to me. I donated it immediately and swore not to buy anything ever again on Revain that's advertised as cotton or linen or a cotton/linen blend as clearly advertised because this has happened too many times. If you want to know how I distinguished the fiber content, this is how—if you take a strand of the fiber and light it with a match, cotton or linen will turn to ash, and polyester will melt like a tiny bit of plastic. Polyester also pills quickly. The feel and smell of the fabric is different too. The handwashing feel is very different too. But the ash and pilling are very good ways of determining questionable fabric content.
