Review on Enhance Air Quality with TYC 800046P2 Mazda Replacement Cabin Air Filter by Michael Mayes

Perfect fit for RX-8

I had a problem with mouse infestation when I left my RX-8 in winter. As a result, there was a lot of junk in the cabin air ducts, and the filters were located at the root of the nest. Annoying mice tore up the filters and left their excrement on them. After sanitizing, vacuuming, sanitizing and cleaning again, it's time to change the filters. TYC 800046P2 air filters worked great. Although labeled as an "air filter" replacement (singular), it actually comes with both (2) filters needed to fill the space above the cabin air plenum. This gives these filters a realistic price point that is about what you would pay at your local O'Reillys or Advanced Auto ($10-$16). Replacing air filters is very easy. In the box with these filters is a manual with pictures explaining how it's done. With the RX-8, no tools are required to change the filter, except maybe something long, such as a B. a screwdriver to press the latch against the filter. To the right. Under normal conditions, air filters should be replaced every 20,000 miles. Here's how to do it on the RX-8:1. Open the glove box2. Using a screwdriver or a long, sturdy object, slide the narrow latch on the right side of the glove box off the hook it is attached to.3. Open the glove box without using force until it stops.4. Pinch the sides of the glove box toward the center and pull out at the same time.5. The glove box should slide in and out easily.6. Remove the plastic cover on the fan chamber, it is a ruler sized side strip.7. Pull out both old filters8. Insert new filters.9. Install the glove box in the same way as it was removed. Don't forget to pin the right side.
