Once you get used to Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs that last for years, it's difficult to go back to normal incandescent bulbs that need to get replaced several times a year. But many semi-flush ceiling fans and low profile ceiling light fixtures that require skinny candelabra (Type B) bulbs, and there just aren't many (or any?) skinny enough CFLs available that fit those ceiling lights. And I just won't put incandescent bulbs in these ceiling lights because they require changing every few months. Like I said, once you get used to CFLs that last for years, there's just no turning back. That's where this skinny candelabra-base Xenon bulb is perfect. It's not CFL, so it still not efficient, but 60W of power puts out a lot of light, and it'll last years. It fits, puts out lots of light, and will last a long time. Aside from the price that's higher than CFLs and incandescents, there's not much to complain about.
