I had a pivoting halo three years ago (one for $250) and foolishly thought I would never have more children until my surprise baby arrived. I didn't want to spend another $250 so I decided to give it a try instead. In fact, I prefer gliding. The biggest problem with the swivel is that it's difficult to get in and out of bed because it doesn't move (this suction cup is HEAVY). Sliding solved that problem because now I just slide it back. Walking is very easy (we have carpet). The price is also much better. Ours is completely flat, contrary to what some reviews say.
