Review on VEEKI Stackable LED Night Light for Kids: 7 Colors 3D Puzzles Lamp with USB Charger by Steven Mazie

Best used with USB power supplies rated at 2 amps or more

I'll admit that I wasn't expecting the parts of the lamp kit to be very light which isn't really a problem when assembling it on a stationary piece of furniture, such as a dresser or bookcase. If you want to hold the lamp together I've found poster glue works well without damaging the plastic parts. My kit did not include a wall adapter; only one cable that allows you to power the lamp via USB so I had to supply my own. Luckily I already have a lot of USB adapters; In fact, I've tried this light with several of my USB power adapters and battery packs. I noticed that on some of my larger capacity batteries, the lamp couldn't stay on for more than 15 seconds because the lamp wasn't drawing enough current to keep the protection circuits active. The lamp flickered a bit when I used my cheaper single cell power supplies because they couldn't supply enough current. The same flickering happened when I tried a 1.4 amp smartphone charger, but the lamp didn't flicker when I used a 2.1 amp charger for my tablet, hence my advice to you: if your lamp set came with USB cable only and no wall adapter, grab some 2.1A chargers if you don't already have them. It can be a bit tricky at first to line up the pieces and light them up, but once you get a feel for how they connect it's smooth sailing from there. Once connected, they will shine forever. At least until you pull the plug or the power goes out. ;) All in all, the Tetris lamp is a welcome addition to my playroom. Not only does it look great next to my consoles and games, but also next to my Lego Super Mario NES set.
