I've had an ASIC for years and wore the same size (8.5B). They go quite long, I'd say about half the size. The cushioning and grip on them seem good but none quite like my GT10004 which had a lot more of both. Also, my GT10004 didn't feel as stretchy but seemed to hold my foot better. I mean they eventually stretched after lots of walks in wet grass and whatnot, but these GT10005s seem like they were from the start. I have ankle problems so my foot really needs to "hold" in the shoe. So I'm generally not a big fan. And of course I missed the return window. Hopefully this shoe will work in winter with thicker socks. But if you wear ASICS and know your ASICS size, I would suggest going half a size down.
