My 10 year old dog baby Madison and I flew from New Jersey to Florida to visit my mom for vacation. First, let me say that Madison is a Chorkie, ↙️ (hybrid ➡️ 🐾½ Yorkshire Terrier ½ Chihuahua, and weighs around 10-12 pounds 🐾) and her weight is constantly fluctuating. During the ride, she weighed 12 pounds, but her overall size appears to remain largely the same. On the way to Florida it was a nightmare! Despite the fact that I gave her a vet-prescribed sedative, she suffered from extreme anxiety the whole time, and I, in turn, was on the brink of a horrible panic attack the whole time! It was all because her carrier was TOO SMALL FOR HER and when she tried to move her face was pushed up! I felt terrible! I was about to cry! Okay, I really lost a few years on the fly for feeling so sorry for her!. (Let me just say I followed the recommendations/sizing on the JetBlue/Jetpaws website and this is what I have left! And let's not forget my dog is small! So always judge and the heck those airlines, bc they totally contradict each other!🤬) The first thing I did in Florida the next day was I started researching the carriers because I knew there was NO CHANCE I'd meet Maddie on the way home would NEVER send back to that torture chamber! After three days of searching for a pet carrier, I found this STURDIBAG LARGE FLEXIBLE CARRIER. Well, let me just say that the drive home was like night and day compared to the drive out! It had so much space! The inner mat was SO COMFORTABLE for her, she slept like a baby THE ALL FLIGHT HOME! She didn't even seem to mind, which in turn calmed me down! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
