Purchased to store and dispense filament for 3D printers. I bought a few other "sealed" containers. I tested each with a color change desiccant. I placed several packets of desiccant in the container and taped one to the outside of the container as a control. After a few months, the desiccant on the outside changed color, but the desiccant inside the container didn't change at all. After 18 months and still no change (never opened the bins during that time) I was concerned that the dehumidifier was not working despite the control box on the outside of the bin. During a hot Midwest summer, I opened the container and left it open - within 3 days all of the desiccant in the container changed color. So the desiccant was working as it should and the container was definitely protected from moisture. This was the best result out of the different containers I tried.
