On closer inspection these crampons appear to be very durable and efficient as I haven't really used them off-road. I had no trouble putting them on and taking them off. The physical properties of the spikes and links tell me they will do the job just fine. The only uncertainty is the durability of the elastics that hold and secure them to your shoes. The real reason I'm writing this review is because a lot of people couldn't figure out how to use the velcro straps that came with the campons. It actually took a few minutes, but I finally figured it out. What you need to do is put the crampons on your shoes, then make a loop with the velcro by slipping the sling under one side of the elastic (velcro facing up) and make a loop with a metal ring. Then pull the strap over your foot and slide the Velcro under the elastic on the other side. After adjustment, attach the Velcro on top and you're done.
