I bought these bulbs to replace other LED bulbs I was using. I use them in my home theater to light up framed movie posters (see image). The ones I've used before used a remote control which was interfering a lot with the projector and light bars, messing everything up. These lights don't come with a remote control, so no problem. I believe you can use them with an optional remote control if you wish. I don't as I prefer to use it with an Alexa Smart Plug. The warmth of these lights is perfect, as is the dimming, which stays at the level you set even if you turn them off via the smart plug. Some lights, like the ones these lights replaced, didn't retain their dimming settings and that was an issue. Keep in mind that these lights work best from afar, as they become more diffuse and illuminate your intended subjects. Placing them too close will result in the light being too concentrated and focused and not sufficiently diffused. I bought a similar set for a display case a few months ago and found that they were too close to the items to illuminate a larger area. If you want to use these lights to illuminate a specific item in a display case while keeping other items in the shadows, they might work. These lights can be mounted overhead or, like mine, at a lower level pointing upwards. Again, at a sufficient distance from the intended subject you want to illuminate. Each light has a long cord that then attaches to the base (six lights per base so you can buy and connect additional lights if needed). The base also has a cord that plugs into an outlet (or smart outlet in my case). That way you have enough length between the lights and the base to work with. I installed them on the edge of the theater seating platform behind the seats. This hides the lights while it does its job without blinding anyone. The lights are attached to the base so you can easily rotate them until you find the perfect spot.
