Bought without an igniter. It's so well done. I have never used a higher quality gas burner. The gas holes are curved like a lens, just so they all form a triangle into a perfect sharp jet of flame. It can get red-hot or just boil slightly. The mechanics are first-class and smooth-running. With those little steel prongs holding folding handles, he can easily hold large pans and pots. Buy and see what I mean. I look forward to using it every time.
