I usually love assembling furniture and I find the instructions pretty easy. It was very difficult to assemble. Some of the pre-drilled holes weren't where they should have been and the instructions could have been better. The little felt houses also had trouble fitting onto the poles they were wrapped around and some of the small holes didn't match where shown in the picture. However, my cats love it. They like scratching posts and bed extensions best. They're not big fans of 1st and 2nd floor houses. They were also a bit warm on the hanging ball but I think it's because of his location. This apartment has a spare ball and they love to play with it. If the ball had simply been placed somewhere else in the apartment, like next to the scratching post, I think they would have used it more.
