Wow! I just received them so I don't have a long term review but I can say they look great. Braided cable jacketing is sort of standard on better cables like this, but the jacketing around the base of the connector is made of hard plastic. It gives a little, but seems like it's more likely to break than bend. The area next to the actual connector is metal and doesn't look like it's going to be much on the budget. The two standard cable issues I have with USB-C are: A) The connector itself stretches and no longer grips the pins firmly in the middle. receiving socket. I can re-tighten it with pliers, but that only works so far and I've had instances of destroying devices if I wasn't careful. I hope the metal on the connector helps with this. B) The wires lose contact in the sheath area I mentioned due to the constant flexing from movement. A hard plastic shell should help here. In general, there are high hopes. I don't write many reviews, especially for little things like that. I was impressed. Good work, Mkeke
