This is the best purchase I have ever made and I love it! I like the look and there were no defects or protruding threads. I got them working by holding 4 different pairs of large but fairly light over-the-counter sunglasses on a noisy hike with 2 large dogs and rain. The holders (and sunglasses) looked great. The glasses never came off and didn't even come close. I also have one attached to my medium-sized, heavy-duty glasses. It was clear that relying on weighted rubber grips would be risky. If your prescription is close to 4D+, or you use large or heavy frames, you may want to experiment to see if the cords attach securely to your glasses. Light readers will be fine with one caveat. In order for the rubber grips to stay in place, they should have typical side levers. Plain wire or narrow arms aren't wide enough for the elastic to even begin to snag.
