Review on Spigen iPad Pro 12.9 inch Screen Protector - Glas.tR EZ FIT Tempered Glass (2021/2020/2018) by Marina Knutson

Easier, but not "easy installation "

My review is about application and general/appearance. If I run into any durability issues, I'll report here. I've been using Spigen for both screen protectors and rugged armor cases since my iPhone 5S. I like their durability and simple/minimal design. I'm still using the same tempered glass on my iPhone 8 for 4 years now. I'm not worried about the durability. As with the iPad Pro 12.9 tempered glass screen protector. I wouldn't call this app easy, but it's better than the standard method. Be sure to use cloths, rags, and stickers to remove. Despite all this, I still had to lift the glass to use the sticker to remove the dust stuck under the glass. Alignment isn't perfect, but good enough. I think the problem is that after a flip you don't have more than a second to align both guides. I think if the guides were bigger so you could slide them in place it would be much better to just drop the screen in place. If you don't get it right the first time, the amount of bubbles (even without dust) will go insane. I had to keep lifting and popping the bubbles. I would recommend adding another screen protector for $5-10. That way there's a backup if the first one has user error (because even in good conditions it's pretty easy to get it wrong anyway). As for the protective coating/quality. I can't say it's very different from the original iPad glass. What's good is that the pen is great for drawing and is no more or less smooth to write on than the original glass. Is it worth the price? Yes, I would say that over $20 is a very high price for a screen protector. I think for a lot of people it would be great to have two in case one fails.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
