Review on JETech Case For IPad Air 1St Edition (NOT For IPad Air 2) Tablet Accessories by Joseph Swanson

Price. Protection. Value. The story of a life of chance well lived.

When my original Apple Smart Cover for my iPad Air finally broke, I looked for an alternative case/cover combo that would protect my iPad, look just as good, but hopefully be a fraction of the price. I stumbled across the JETech iPad Air Slim Fit Case and decided I couldn't go wrong with the price. I ordered it not knowing what to expect. The suitcase arrived and I took it out of the nondescript packaging. I immediately noticed how comfortable the case is in the hand. I was expecting it to have a plasticky feel, but it actually feels more like a suede finish, much like the Smart Cover I originally had. It's smooth yet grippy enough in my hand. The inside of the "cover" was made from a microfiber-like material - again just like the Smart Cover - which not only protected the display but arguably offered a similar "cleaning effect" as you moved around the screen. I installed it on my iPad and was pleasantly surprised that it fits perfectly and adds very little bulk or weight. A simple "latch" in place and it was securely fastened. The lid closed exactly as it should, and the iPad would wake up and go back to sleep when I opened and closed it. So far I've been impressed. The real test, however, was whether it would protect my iPad from my children, of whom I have several. Will this case stand up to her relentless theft of my iPad, her greasy and dirty fingers as she shamelessly taps the display to find the latest episode of The Disney Collector, or her penchant for dropping the iPad every time she gets the enter the kitchen? Only time can tell. I can't remember the first time I bought this product. However, a few days ago I came home to find that one of my precious offspring had dropped an iPad on the tiled floor. When I got home it was on the table. The guilty party's loving brother quickly informed me of the injury and told me threateningly—perhaps even kindly—that her sister had "broken an iPad." But she was wrong. The iPad was NOT broken. The case is broken. A small corner broke off, causing the case to no longer stick to the iPad. No, my daughter didn't break my iPad after all. In fact, it proved that this case did exactly what it was bought for: it protected my iPad from what would undoubtedly have been a cracked screen had the case not been adopted. I immediately signed up with Revain and bought another JETech iPad Air case. If he protected my iPad once, he can do it again. When it arrived the old one was sent in the bin. Good job my friend.
