Lately I've been disappointed with Mizuno's color options for women. They are ugly or boring. On a whim I decided to check out the men's options and found exactly the color I was looking for! They say you can't choose a color-based running shoe, but I've been wearing the Mizuno Wave Inspire for a few years now, so I know what works best for my run. I just wanted it to be the best color. I really like how this model feels on my feet. It reminds me a bit of the Wave Inspire 14 in the way they hug my leg. It feels like it was designed to wrap around my heel perfectly. The toe box is roomy and I had plenty of room. I replaced the laces with lock laces because I prefer them when running (one less worry). The previous Mizuno (ladies) had issues with the woven mesh material causing holes in my toes after about 150 miles. I will definitely update this review if the same thing happens to this model. However, Mizuno lives up to their warranty very well, so if this happens to you, contact them. I took them out of the box for an 11 mile run and had absolutely NO PROBLEM with them. No blisters, cleft shin, knee or ankle problems. You will definitely go to the Space Coast Marathon with me! Ladies, if you're looking for other color options, play it safe with the men's selection. Just order 1.5 sizes smaller than your usual size (example: I wear women's size 10 and ordered this 8.5).
