Review on πŸ’ͺ Misfit Ray - Carbon Black Fitness and Sleep Tracker with Stylish Leather Band by Luis Thompson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great tracker, latest technology, reasonable price!

UPDATE: Now I enjoy my Ray even more. After a few weeks of use, it does what I wanted and then some really well. I discovered the Misfit Link app. The app says it currently only supports their Flash product, but I've set my Ray to use Find My Phone and it works great! Just a few simple touches on my Ray and my phone starts ringing wherever I let it. No more asking friends to ring my phone so I can find it, or searching endlessly when I'm alone. I really like that this is an accurate, easy to use tracker with a lot of cool bonus features. I would like to know when the accessories that we see on the Misfit website will be released. At the moment you can only get a sport band or leather. I've just started using my Misfit Ray as a replacement for a faulty Garmin and have been very happy so far. The application and synchronization with My Fitness Pal is very easy and convenient. It would be nice to be able to see the display instead of having to go to the phone to check your steps etc. But once you've learned the light color sequences, you can at least see how much of your daily goal you've achieved. The step count seems fairly accurate, if not overly sensitive. Again, sleep tracking needs to be initiated on your phone and not the device, but again that seems pretty accurate from reading. As others have said, the vibrations are very light but I can definitely feel them. This morning he woke me up with an alarm clock, but I see if you're fast asleep he won't wake you up. I like the text/call notification feature. I can leave my phone charging on top and still know when I'll get a call or text, which is nice. Compared to Garmin, it is much more comfortable to wear, more stylish and very light. I look forward to being able to wear it as a pendant too. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that inserting the battery can be a bit of a hassle as you have to fit 3 tiny batteries into the slim camera. If they don't nest properly, they can get stuck there and be difficult to spot. However, if you get them all there the first time, it will block well. I still prefer long-lasting batteries to constant charging. Overall, I can recommend this fitness tracker.
