These are the best boxes I have ever bought. They are very easy to assemble. Ribbon is not required. Their construction makes them very strong and very easy to break and store for later. The only issue I had was the large cardboard lids. They were glued too tightly and were difficult to tear off when first assembling the boxes. I must have mixed up 3/4 of these but I can't take any stars off because they were still great and I'm so glad I found them. You will be very happy with this purchase.
