Review on Renewed Logitech K800 Wireless πŸ’‘ Illuminated Keyboard: Brighter, Better, and More Convenient by Toyofuku Hideo ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am one hundred percent satisfied with the purchase, I recommend this product to everyone.

I've had my first K800 for 9 years now. I bought it for 2500 more. Recently, W has started to stick and Shift does not always work. I didn’t really want to buy a new one for 8-9k, but I bought it for the stock, taking into account the cashback, almost for the old price. And it's real - the old K800 and the new K800 are not clones, but close relatives. The old plastic is smooth, pleasant to the touch. The new one is rough and feels cheaper. But maybe this is just such a solution. Since each key has a slight indentation, the smooth keys of the old keyboard perfectly reflected overhead light from any angle. And it was very annoying at first. Rough keys do NOT reflect light into the eyes. The old key travel is softer, and the sound is quieter. The new sound is slightly rattling and louder. Quieter of course than the mechanics, but louder than it was. The K800 can be used out of the box, but it's better to install the Logitech Set Point utility. In it, you can also set the decay time (or disable it altogether), assign commands to function keys, turn on the on-screen indication of Caps Lock and Num Lock, and also program the bluetooth receiver to use several Logitech devices. There is also the Logitech Options utility, it is designed more beautifully, but functionally a little poorer. Personally, for my needs, this is the best keyboard. But again - NOT for 8-9k! But you can follow the promotions and buy at a normal price.

Pros
  • Built-in battery. ONLY the letters light up, not the space around the keys. The backlight is maximum pleasing to the eye and smoothly adjustable. Soft keys with good tactile feedback. The buttons do not play and do not rattle like a rattle. Calculator call button - so used to it over the years of use. that I began to think that everyone has it))) Proprietary software that allows you to customize useful options for yourself, as well as connect multiple devices through one bluetooth receiver.
Cons
  • Like all global manufacturers, Logitech increases profits by reducing the cost of quality. Keyboard K800, bought 9 years ago, and K800 bought yesterday, it's like different modifications. The price of 8-9k is too much!
