Fabric: This pink princess bed canopy is beautiful. The fabric is polyester and is thick. In addition, the fabric is machine washable. Assembly: not very difficult - there is a wire mesh that you need to be extra careful with before fully opening/unfolding. This wire mesh should then be tied into the princess canopy by knots on the inside of the fabric - about 6-8 knots for a better fit. The kit includes a bracket that needs to be fixed to the ceiling with 2 screws. It looks like tying it in the corner rather than the center of the room would be a better option for this canopy. My daughter has a loft bed with a princess mosquito net. She loves it and now her new favorite is the princess canopy. She uses it to study. The set includes an additional star garland. This goes well with the pink canopy. Overall for the $30 price range it's almost worth the money and it's great which is why I'm giving it 4 stars!
