Our grandchildren love balls of all shapes and sizes. As they grow, the sizes of the spheres also grow. The Franklin play ball is the largest in our collection, but its size doesn't stop two and three year olds from playing with it. The ball is light enough to throw and bouncy enough for older kids to play four squares. We used to buy balls online and some of them were deflated. This was inflated and didn't need to be adjusted - it was ready to play straight away and hasn't needed air since. All in all, this is a great ball for casual play. I have included photos showing how big this ball is (8 Β½ inches in diameter) and how it fits into the ball size category. The smallest ball in the photo is a size 2, then a size 3... down to the standard size basketball. Another close-up shows its pleasant nature - for children this ball is easier to hold than a ball with studs.
