Great for sensitive skin and rosacea

I have rosacea and very sensitive skin. If I hadn't gone to a dermatologist, my skin would have turned into a huge itchy, scaly patch. Oh joy! My dermatologist advised me to use it because it only has 4 or 6 ingredients and it doesn't irritate the skin. Get ready: this thing is based on petroleum jelly and is very, very greasy. You cannot just wash it off with water as it will stick to your skin like whale oil. I've found that the best way to use it is to lightly moisturize your face, rub a SMALL amount in circular motions, then remove with a soft, warm, damp cloth. You can wipe it off with a cloth but that will leave more marks - great if you have very dry skin. It definitely removes the most stubborn makeup and leaves your skin super soft and smooth (I used to have rough skin, now my skin is nice and soft and smooth). I only use it at night and when it's very humid outside I wash my face a second time with a liquid cleanser like Cetafil to remove even more excess (I have a combination skin type). Be careful not to get it in your eyes - it won't hurt you, but it will leave a film that's difficult to remove. I would recommend using a separate eye makeup remover when using eye makeup. Clinique's Take The Day Off is a good option. Haven't used it in the summer yet, so I'm curious to see how it performs in the Houston heat and humidity. Will it make me fat? We will see! All in all a very good product.
