Review on πŸ“» Enhanced SiriusXM TTR1 Internet Radio with Tabletop Design by Robert Berio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Extremely good Sirius table radio - it works!

This is one of the reviews I was looking forward to the most. Sometimes you buy something that doesn't cost a lot of money and isn't made as a revolutionary device, but just works and works very well. The Sirius TTR1 Internet Desktop Radio is such a product for me. It works. I note that initially, as it turned out, I received a used device, everything was unpacked (manual, remote control, etc.). So I asked Revain to replace the product for me. The replacement was perfect. Appearance is very pleasant. It sits and looks great on my desk. The current time is highlighted and displayed on the radio when the sound is off. This makes the radio also suitable as a bedside alarm clock. There's even a sleep button on the top. However, if you place the radio in your office or living room, it won't look out of place. It doesn't look like an alarm clock, it looks like a nice black radio. While the device isn't very small or light, it's not big. The light weight certainly contributes to a decent sound quality. Setup is easy if you're used to adding Wi-Fi devices to your home wireless network. If your network is already set up and working, all you need to do is navigate the radio's menus using the knob or the supplied remote control. Select your network, enter your network password and hopefully you will be connected. The Internet sets the correct time instantly, although you may need to set your time zone to see the correct time. You can then use the tuning knob to browse the channels by category. Press and hold one of the front panel preset buttons to lock your favorite channel. The sound is good. This is exactly the size of the device. If you don't have a very large room, this table radio is more than enough to bring sound to that room. Since this radio is known to receive the Sirius stream from the Internet and not via satellite, the sound quality is actually better than, for example, your car radio, since the stream delivered via satellite is more compressed than the stream from the Internet. There is audio in and audio out on the back of the unit if you need them. I found that service has been unavailable on one or two of the last sixty or more mornings. My network seemed fine, but I couldn't connect for an hour or two. The service may have been updated. As other reviewers have pointed out, you'll need to subscribe to Sirius Internet Radio, which currently costs $2.99 a month on top of your satellite radio subscription. If you do not have a regular Sirius radio subscription, you will have to pay the full price of the subscription. I think three bucks a month is worth it. I use the same internet subscription to listen on the Sirius website and on my smartphone. Just note that you can only use your login credentials to listen on one internet device at a time, otherwise you will be logged out after a short time due to logging in on multiple devices. Your satellite radio will not be affected and of course can be switched on at the same time with a single internet connection. I just hope that the cost of an internet radio subscription doesn't increase too much over time. All in all a really reliable product. Even the buttons on the front of the radio have great texture and feel. This radio may not be world changing, but it's a great way to spread the word about Sirius, whatever you like about Sirius, your favorite free music, maybe the talk or news on your desk, in your living room, or by your bed. He does it with a high quality, beautiful product that sounds great and works almost flawlessly. There is no arguing about this product.
