Review on ISmartgate Wireless Waterproof Surveillance Monitoring by Bonnie Conner

I really like the garage door opener, but I've always been annoyed by the spirited attitude of the camera. So I was thrilled when the company announced a preferred camera and that they would offer video services for a year with purchase. Although the camera was expensive I thought it would be nice to have something originally designed for use with my Gogogate 2. The packaging is fine, everything looked fine. Things were well labeled and it was easy to see what went where. I downloaded the ismartgate camera app and was pleased that it uses QR code scanning to avoid having to type in a bunch of IP addresses. Poorly. Instead of syncing to my network, I go to "Add New Camera" and scan the QR. The app then asks me to make sure I'm on a 2.4GHz network. OK. Then I enter my WiFi password. wait.and wait.and then you get a message that it didn't work.no troubleshooting.no option to configure manually.just crash. I can't even tell if the camera is getting power. No light. The manufacturer provided a CD, but if you are not a black belt in network IP camera configuration, this will not help. especially as it is written in this style of sentence construction converted from Chinese. I go. I send the package back to Revain and receive a comparatively great NEST or RING camera set up exactly as it should. Sigh.
