Updated Stars! After consultation with the company, a replacement box was sent to me free of charge. I still don't think this is the best toy chest idea, but it looks great in our bedroom for storing blankets. We still only use the bottom of the first box as a toy box for the kids and it's still holding up very well. Okay. Pros: The box itself is incredibly solid and looks great. It also really holds the weight like a seat. The con lid was cracked on the second day, not fully cracked but the edges parted. Almost every corner broke within the first week. No big deal, the lid still went on the box and mostly stayed put. Flash in a few months and all the corners are completely knocked out and the lid just needs to sit on top. The problem is that when used as a toy box, the lid keeps coming off and the corners just aren't strong enough to withstand that kind of use.
