I gave 5 stars because it does exactly what I need it to do. Yes, it does darken the screen a bit, but that's inevitable with this type of materials technology, and while I wouldn't try to color edit the screen in production, it blocks the slanted view very effectively. I'm not sure if it will fully do the job for someone sitting next to you on the plane, but I only use it because my work sometimes forces me to display data that isn't intended for general use, and this pretty effectively prevents this opening. . I use a transparent tongue retainer so I can remove it if I want and yes you can see it - totally invisible materials aren't a thing just yet :) but I've found I don't even notice the tabs or notches after day of use . By the way, it looks like garbage because of my bad camera phone. IRL looks a little better. Also, the marked lines are a 60 degree arc, so you can see that at that angle the entire screen is ALMOST blacked out, but if you go a little further than I did in the video, it looks like the screen is off .
