Review on 📷 Wasserstein Weatherproof Gutter Mount: Perfect Blink Outdoor & XT2/XT Camera Accessory! by Cody Stroop

This was my first purchase of a Wasserstein product. I've retired twice in my career, once from AT&T to an engineering position, once from UCLA to a networking position. From my previous career I have learned to appreciate well-made products. I think the Wasserstein CCTV mount is one of those well made products. Although the mount has a few kinks, the thumbscrew holes line up perfectly and require no force to get the thumbscrews into the threaded holes, which I did, which was a good sign. In my setup I used a Blink XT Outdoor Camera Mount Bracket. Initially I thought the universal screw adapter would not fit my camera but this part snapped back in place and fitted perfectly while still allowing the camera to be rotated. Another sign of a well-made product. All camera mount parts were included and worked perfectly. The mounting bracket came in a package that included installation diagrams on the outside of the package, eliminating the need for separate installation instructions. . Good use of packaging that is a nice "green" touch of eco-consciousness. I have no negative comments about the product but I would suggest a product modification. I would have preferred a larger diameter for the knurled nut that comes with the universal mount. The nut has the same diameter as the bearing surface of the mounting bracket, making tightening difficult in tight spaces. Needle nose pliers solved the access problem and helped tighten the nut.
