Review on Altec Lansing MZX856-RED Bluetooth Active Earbuds by Christie Miller

These headphones are great. I've bought 4 pairs in the last few years. I bought the last one in September. The earbud for the right ear started falling off but they were still under warranty so I sent them in for repair. The headphones were sent back to me two weeks later, but not straight away. They are no longer manufactured and the repair will be replaced with a new model. The new model has 10 hours of battery life, not 20. Its maximum output is about half the volume. These MZX856 headphones can get too loud if I turn them to maximum volume. The new MZX857 are drowned out by background noise, even at maximum volume. The new MZX857 earbuds can only be paired with one device at a time, not multiple devices that the MZX856 can be paired with, and they're made of cheap and lightweight plastic. They also sell for about half the price. The company will tell you that this is an update and that all the changes are because people wanted lighter earbuds, but the quality of the new model has suffered significantly. So these earbuds are great, but if something goes wrong there's practically no guarantee.
