I bought this for my husband not for the kids as they already have a lot of night lights. But I mainly got it for the white noise it makes when working the night shift and sleeping in the morning. When children are running around it helps to have a sound machine to drown out some of the noise. I've used one that requires me to turn it on before leaving the room in the morning. What I love about it is that I could already walk away and just turn it on (or off) with the app. What I don't like is that even though it's listed, it doesn't work with my Alexa device. It's also very hurtful. If you accidentally press the button, it responds. So I have a child lock so he doesn't accidentally turn on the lights or turn on the sound while he's trying to sleep and that wakes him up. But it helped solve the inconveniences we had. Overall good.
