Review on 🕳️ Plumb Pak PP855-69 Air Gap: Grey, Fits 1-1/2" and 2" Metal or Plastic Standpipes by Eric Webb

I have Bought this to use as a water softener vent gap. It didn't work for me as a standalone product... However, with a little "help" it worked fine. The drain water is under quite a bit of pressure, at least with our softener, so simply sticking vinyl tubing into the top port isn't enough... The pressure just pushes it out, splashing water all over the place. It just so happens that a standard dishwasher pipe coupler (rubber) fits perfectly into the port and a 5/8 OD vinyl hose fits perfectly into the other end. Problem solved! Also, I used a zip tie to secure the device to the riser. as I said, a lot of pressure from the fabric softener... it worked like a "jet" and lifted the device from the riser pipe. The cable tie ensures that the device is securely fastened so that it does not come out again and water splashes everywhere.
