Update 8/24/15: I've been using them for a month and I'm very happy with their work. I really thought they got disconnected a few times but realized it was my song upload error. The headphones are not to blame. As for the fastening at the neck, I only wear it in the front and there are no problems. When I'm sweating profusely they sometimes get a little slippery in my ears (and by profuse I mean I'm sweating like a bucket and it's all pouring down my head because I shave my head), so I look for foam tips to fix that . Problem. I've bought dozens (if not hundreds, don't tell your wife) of headphones over the years in search of the perfect pair of headphones. Even when I bought the Powerbeats 2 wireless headphones I didn't find them, but they work great for the reason I bought them. gym. I've tried a few other wireless gym headphones, but none of them seemed to stay in place or stand up to the strain. You start bouncing (you do that at the gym, right?) and they'll bounce right out of your ears - always at the worst possible time - when you're running on the treadmill or in the middle of a heavy lift. and your fold-down earbud distracts you from what started out as a great set. First, the box is fairly easy to open, presumably because Apple now owns Beats by Dre. I charged the earbuds, which is easy with the cable that came with them. although for some inexplicable reason they only include a cable and no power supply. I'm sure Apple has a Nebraska-sized warehouse full of power supplies. why don't you turn it on? Connecting to your phone is very easy. Being a male, I'm not sure if the instructions describe the process. I just did this in the gym locker room by googling "Pairing Powerbeats2 Wireless Headphones" and there was a plan. I use an Android phone, a Samsung Galaxy GS5, and they are designed to work with an iPhone, but I haven't had any issues. Very easy. The real test is performance and comfort. I'm not the type to yell at my music. I like quality music, but I already suffer from tinnitus from stupid choices (I told you I'm a man, right?), so I avoid loud music. However, you can increase the volume if necessary. The audio is crisp and clear, and the only time there's a hiss or the music skips a beat is when I turn my phone's screen off with the side button. When I do that, the music sometimes skips half a beat. If I let the screen go black on its own, I don't get the same interruption. I'm struggling to get the ear tips right, but for some reason the included standard size tips worked in my ears. I'm a tall guy at 6ft 3" with an 18" neck. While other over-the-neck headphones don't fit, the Powerbeats2 do by a few inches. If you're not in the giant category, there's a slider on the cord to make it smaller. The on-ear headphones fit comfortably and prevent the headphones from falling out, even when I move in a prone or supine position. The cord is rubberized so it doesn't get tangled, but it gives me problems. and probably just me. Besides being tall, I also shave my head so the rubberized cord sometimes creates a kind of stickiness at the back of the head, which doesn't really matter but makes me want to smooth it down. Again, as long as you don't shave your head, this won't be a problem for you. The best part about using it at the gym is that you don't have to worry about your hands or kettlebells getting tangled in the cord. I keep my phone in my bag or on the floor and headphones never work for free. The battery life seems to be around 6 hours. I've seen other reviews saying there is no shut off button but there is. I turn it off after use and the battery doesn't run out until the next workout. I doubt many people would use this for voice but the first day I used it at the gym I got a call and everything was crystal clear. Both ends. Notes for Android: As I said, they are made for the iPhone, so you can skip tracks and I think some other things. I've used other "Designed for iPhone" headphones where the buttons on the cord are virtually useless; You can't adjust the volume or turn off the music. With Powerbeats2, you can adjust the music volume, turn off the music, and answer calls with the buttons on the cord. While the iPhone offers some additional features, we Android users can also enjoy these amazing headphones.
