The compression isn't miserable, but there's still enough to be smoothing where I need it (i.e. pretty much everywhere it covers). The leg holes don't dig after a full day of wearing, which is a pleasant surprise. Seams aren't thick or scratchy. I can breathe while sitting down & eat lunch without feeling like a stuffed sausage after. Sometimes this kind of material makes my cheeks itchy, but so far so good there too (maybe it's the cute little butt pockets, lol?). It's been washed twice on delicate & line dried with no piling or loose threads. I'm 5'2" and the torso is a hair long on me, but it's not a huge deal and doesn't effect midsection smoothing. Honestly, my 36/38DD's could use a bit more support BUT it's because there's no underwire & I knew that, so it's completely expected. There are 2 rows of adjustable crotch snaps - which I'm a ding-a-ling & didn't realize the 1st wearing - geez they make life soooo much easier. Anyway, I'll wear this throughout the winter for extra warmth & slimming under my work tops.
