Being a shower guest has the advantage that you only have to buy one item, not dozens. This luxurious quilt was well received. Soft, comfortable, but being thermal it is unlikely to block child's breath if baby crawls underneath in the middle of the night. I also liked that it's white (not pink, not blue, not institutionally light green or yellow). If parents decide they either don't know the gender (which I absolutely don't understand but that's their business) or WORSE to find out and refuse to tell anyone else, which is annoying and rude, why not say that you don't know? You don't know if you don't say so? This makes it difficult to buy gifts. It amazes me how many baby gifts are sold ONLY in pink or blue. Yeh! So if you just want to buy one nice thing rather than a whole bag of little things and/or are looking for something gender neutral, this makes a great gift that most expectant moms will love. cannot afford on their own.
