I received my LX300 wireless desktop yesterday. The moment I opened the cover, I noticed how light the entire product was. I was happy. The keyboard is great. It's lightweight and comes in a nice, professional-looking black color. There are so many useful pre-programmed keys that launch commonly used programs like Outlook, Word, Media Player, Browser. To top it off, there are 4 additional buttons that you can program to open the apps of your choice. Oh my god I love this keyboard! And all that finesse without the clutter of cords dangling from the back of my laptop. I've tested the keyboard to a distance of 15 feet and it WORKS! Now the mouse: In short, a big spoiler. This is far from a talented thin brother (keyboard). The moment you touch the mouse, it seems to you that you are moving a heavy pebble along the riverbank. Two heavy AA batteries are to blame. The mouse isn't very accurate either. Suddenly and without any reason, the pointer wanders on its comfortable track. There is also a slight noticeable lag. You can't rely on this mouse to do things as precise as removing red-eye in Adobe Photoshop. In short, a good buy if you can live with a fat mouse. The keyboard is a gem. UPDATE: FOR MAC USERS --------------------------------- ---- Attention Mac users. Although the specs say "Designed for XP", it still works on Macs. But if you're thinking of using it with a Mac, be prepared to be disappointed. Mac OS X cannot "recognize" the wireless device and you will have to set everything up again. When connecting, the lag of the mouse is very noticeable. And the keyboard isn't spared either. This lag can be very frustrating because 99.99% of the time you are using either one or both. Every time you come back to your Mac after a break, a colorful spinning ball will greet you. All the features like scrolling, softkeys work, but you won't have a "smooth" feeling when using them. Because of this disgusting computing experience, a few minutes ago I unplugged the entire Logitech box from my Mac and plugged in the matching white Apple keyboard and mouse. (USB, wired). This all-black Logitech wireless combo doesn't look good even with an all-white Mac desktop! :-) So, Mac users, buy something Mac compatible that's clearly stated in the specs. Logitech has also developed other wireless devices for Macs. BUT THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PURCHASE.
