Review on Hyperkin Duke Wired Controller Windows Limited by Lauren Marley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great controller, for the same reasons as always.

Absolute revelation, I've always liked the Duke design since the original Xbox, mostly because I have larger than average hands, and also because it's always been extremely durable and strong. This controller is very good and covers both these bases in particular are a pretty good size to me and overall feel extremely durable and well built. As with the Dukes of old, it definitely has a well-defined weight and feels solid enough to be used as an impromptu self-defense weapon when needed, something game controllers have sadly lacked in recent years. The controller has mirrored black and white buttons and lb/rb buttons, meaning you can customize how these controls work to better suit the game you're playing (I usually use bumpers when a game uses them for toggles and face buttons used otherwise), which is extreme. My only disappointment is that the center button *only* plays the Xbox intro, at least on PC, and doesn't actually register as a button on the controller for input reasons, meaning it doesn't have to be an Open -Steam Big Picture or other similar overlays which honestly would be preferable if only one was available. actually the input, at least on the PC. Edit: Although the button wasn't working properly before, it seems to have been an intermittent issue and disconnecting and reconnecting the controller fixed it. Result updated accordingly.
