My Very Favorite Journal

This notebook is my very favorite for keeping bullet journals, recipe books, etc. The cover is basically thick cardstock with the outside covered in soft, fake-leather-type material. It's strong enough to protect the pages from getting banged up in my bag, but soft and thin enough that you could put make a traveler's notebook with multiples. It does get a little beat up with light scuff marks but personally I think that just adds to its charm. The paper inside is gorgeous Clairfontaine 90g, which is a lovely off-white and of high quality. This paper is the reason I choose Rhodia notebooks over others. It takes ink nicely from a wide range of pens (I use Tombow Fudes and Dual Tips mostly, but also Sharpie pens, highlighters, Crayola markers, and watercolors from time-to-time) and all do well with only minimal ghosting. The only thing I've used so far that has actually bled through the page was a standard Sharpie permanent marker. No feathering ever, and ink seems to dry relatively quickly. For anyone comparing this to the Rhodia Webnotebook -- the cover is the only difference.

Pros
  • Office & School Supplies
Cons
  • The softcover may not protect the pages as much compared to hardcovered notebooks
