I was going to mount them with screws and clips, I still can. But these lights are seriously lit! These are tiny little things, each weighing no more than a few ounces. 3 strips of 3M each should be MORE than enough to keep them working indefinitely. I wiped down the bottom of the cabinets with a small amount of fantasic on a paper towel to remove any grease that might have been there. The hardest part of the install was crossing the microwave! I wanted to drill through the cabinets and run the wires in. Instead I removed 4 screws from the bottom of the microwave, stuck the wire in and replaced the screws. It is fully concealed, semi-permanent and has no openings. If you decide to do the same, be careful with lightbulbs. If you have original bulbs they can get very hot, make sure the wires are out of the way. I swapped mine for an LED a few months ago. The microwave lighting matches the color of the lighting under the cabinet. Most importantly, the woman loves the entire setup. She says it looks great and I did a great job. I'm very proud of that too. Not bad for a few hours of work. Why so long? Cross the microwave and cross the corner between cabinets with no visible cords. Now let's add a small switch next to the light switch to turn the TV on and off. Thankfully, the power adapter is also lightweight. A few strips should also secure it securely under the closet.
