Too heavy to hold an old heavy laptop but light enough to carry around. The fan works great, protects the laptop from overheating, I've added some photos so other buyers can see and rate their future purchase. I originally bought this for my daughter's 5th birthday, she looks at her tablet on it, but I also use it for his homework online and as you can see in the pictures my 2 year old steals the pink laptop tabletop picture moment . Can be used in bed or on the sofa while watching the kids play. Overall a good purchase, great gift for my daughter and although Leehee makes a black version of the laptop desk I will be using it myself. I advise others to buy it, you will get used to it and take it with you everywhere. Carry on in the same spirit. Be sure.
