Review on Gibson 91547 16RM Couture 16 Piece Dinnerware: Elevate Your Dining Experience by Will Anderson

In general I like this set. I would rate it 5 stars but there are some issues which I will address shortly. Pros: The platter is large and can be used anywhere, unlike the old set I had which had a 1" border all the way around which was just annoying. .The bowl is amazing. Some people don't like bowls that big, but this is the perfect bowl for my morning cereal and soup. Received the set as a housewarming gift so I've had the set longer than I was told I had it). Cons: The plate is definitely a bit big and barely fits in my small microwave. I have to tilt it a little to put it in the microwave. Production Issues: My first set was virtually flawless, all lines mostly clean with one small exception when a plate fired at the same time as one of mine must have been broken, resulting in one of my cymbals getting a very small stain, otherwise the set is perfect. However, that's why I only gave this place 4 stars. Eventually I ordered another set to have all the right sets for 8 settings. However, the processing of this new set has deteriorated noticeably. The two plates were noticeably convex in shape (the middle plate was noticeably convex and raised). You can tell that the glaze was applied unevenly, creating an almost rippling effect in places where a certain line narrowed and then suddenly widened again. Similar visual issues show up in most dishes. Also, I can see spots where the glaze has been overapplied and it's starting to run down the outside of the bowl as if you splattered paint. Not too bad, but still noticeable. This last batch seems to have had some manufacturing issues due to Covid-19 and possibly staffing issues at the factory that made them. But the QA definitely missed some issues with them. Nonetheless. I still love this set, its colors, shape and size and I recommend it. Just be careful at this point as it is quite evident that the quality of the products has decreased from 2 years ago to today.
