, I think it will serve us well in an emergency. However, if you live in a rural area that doesn't have many local radio stations, it can be difficult to get information from regular stations. This radio is small enough to add to your evacuation kit and with the ability to charge the battery and internal battery manually or via a solar panel. There's an indicator that shows how much charge the battery has or if it's charging. . I would have preferred a digital screen for accuracy but this is a good radio at an affordable price to use as a backup if needed. Not a bad emergency radio and a great price for those who can't afford much.
