The cigarette lighter plug on my 12 volt emergency air compressor/tire inflator broke (although I desperately needed it) and reminded me of the value of a working compressor. I decided to have it repaired or replaced. It's not a high end tire inflator (was maybe $20 when I got it) so I didn't want to spend a lot if repair was a viable option, but I was able to get 2 plugs (with fuses like the original plug) for 8 Dollar. was a fairly simple solution. I decided to solder the wires together as they were different gauges, the only delay in repairing it was trying to figure out the polarity of the compressor wires. Didn't last long but the included fuse was more than enough to start the compressor when I tested it. I haven't attempted to inflate the tire since the repair and the compressor requires power/generates heat but I suspect the replacement plug will hold up if needed.
