I had 15 keys on 3 key rings attached to the key ring built into the product. After about 9 or 10 months the clasp on the carabiner broke and fell off. It's okay - I just bought a more durable carabiner from a local hardware store as shown in the picture. Then, about a month later, the cord came loose from the plastic mount and key ring, rendering the product unusable (also pictured). And the polycarbonate body is said to be "designed to last for many years". Except it doesn't matter if the cable breaks 1 year ago. I have an "XTREME DUTY" version that says it contains "40 keys or 20 ounces". I had 15 keys and the carabiner and lanyard latch broke in less than a year. Lifetime Service Policy, effective after the expiration of the 1-year limited warranty, includes downloading, printing, and filling out a form, writing a check, or providing credit card information for a $4.00 fee within the United States (7th .00 US dollars outside the US), then pack and ship the defective product, pay the shipping yourself, and then wait to get an exact replacement product. So what? Once every 13 months? No thank you. Of course, if I had been more conscientious about honoring the 1 year warranty I would not have had the hassle of paying for shipping and product repairs. But ask yourself, is it really worth the effort for a product that lasts less than a year?
