I bought this fan for my bedroom and didn't worry about the installation at all because I have installed many ceiling fans in the past. I was definitely wrong this time. If I had used the instructions I would have been confused because the instructions were poor. So I installed it just from what I knew. Well, the worst part was putting on the globe. My husband and I spent 2 days and bought slightly longer screws to install the globe. We have also bought lanterns that say they last 13 years because the entire globe has to be removed to replace the lanterns. And I really don't intend to do it again. The light looks very nice as soon as we turn it on. But if you are easily disappointed I would not buy this fan. Also, there was no remote control. So I called the company and they should send me one.
